No. Reading messages and checking balance is silent, but every SMS is drafted and held until you approve the exact text and recipient.
How do I connect?
Two ways: one-tap “Connect with Twilio”, which authorizes AIVA to act on your account, or paste your Account SID and Auth Token from the Twilio console for a fully local setup.
Can it see incoming texts?
Yes. AIVA lists recent messages and surfaces inbound texts that need a reply, turning each into a tracked task so nothing slips.
How is access secured?
In manual mode your Auth Token is stored encrypted on your Mac and revocable with Disconnect. In the managed connection, sends are signed server-side so your token never reaches the runtime; you can deauthorize from your Twilio console anytime.
